Starting the day with the Lord
At the start of the day, let the Lord take your hand.
Let Him give to you the strength to rise up and stand.
Let Him prepare you for whatever you may meet,
When you leave your home to start walking down life’s street.
At the start of the day, give to Him a prayer,
Just a moment of reflection with Him to share.
Let Him know of your love for Him in this new day,
That wherever you go, you will walk in His way.
At the start of the day, look to what you must do,
Who needs your support before this day is through.
Then give a moment of thanks that He’s at your side,
That whatever you may do, in His love you abide.
