The stillness within a prayer
The Stillness within a Prayer,
A quietness within this day.
To know that Jesus is there,
And to reflect upon His way.
To reflect upon our life here,
Of what this day has brought us.
Of how His love was always near,
Of what His words have taught us.
A chance to seek His forgiveness,
For those actions left undone.
A chance to share your happiness,
For those moments that were fun.
A chance to share with deep sorrow,
For those things that cannot be.
And to know that in tomorrow,
There beside you He will be.

A prayer for today
I ask for better understanding amongst humankind,
And that within our hearts greater kindness we can find.
That anger can be replaced with calmness upon this day,
And that compassion for others will somehow find a way.
I ask for wisdom to guide me in the work I must do,
And that the path I walk this day is leading me to you.
That my deeds and my actions help the world to see your light,
And that when this day is done, you will keep me safe tonight.

Keep us safe Lord
Keep us safe Lord, and protect us all from harm,
Let us feel around us, your protective arm.
Let us feel your presence, wherever we are,
In our darkest moments, be our shining star.
Watch over us Lord, in everything we do,
Give us your guidance to help us see things through.
Let us feel you are walking there by our side,
Sheltering us, when we feel the need to hide.
Give us your kindness Lord, be gentle and sweet,
Find a place for us to all sit by your feet.
Fill us with your love, keep us all in your heart,
Hold us close to you, and from us never part.

When Winter is here
Keep safe on their journey, all who in winter must drive,
Through the snow and the ice, so they will safely arrive.
Watch over all who travel by foot on the cold street,
Let them find a safe path and stay steady on their feet.
For all those caught in a storm, please shelter them from harm,
Guide them through the wind and the rain, to where it is calm.
For those who in winter find it hard to move about,
When the snow falls deeply, and it is hard to get out.
Keep them safe in their homes, staying by their side each day,
Watch over us all Lord, until winter passes away.

Guiding others to The Lord
O Lord, as I travel through this world today,
I would like to ask if You could guide my way.
To help me to see what I need to achieve,
So that I may guide others, in You, to believe.
So that I may know what to say and to do,
With words that will bring them all closer to You.
With gentleness and holiness, sharing Your love,
Touching their heart as You reach out from above.
