Step by Step (John 19:17)

Step by step, upon life’s long dusty road,
Slowly but surely does he carry his load.
A cross on His shoulders, a burden of love,
For the forgiveness of our sins from above.
For the healing of those who suffer in pain,
To remove our fear, so that peace may now reign.

Step by step, He carries the weight for us all,
Support for our souls should we stumble and fall.
Faithfully He guides us all into God’s sight,
A sacred journey from darkness to light.
A sacrifice given to set us all free,
For the love of our Lord, forever with thee.

Jesus Sacrifice of Love

Jesus gave his sacrifice of love, to free us from all of our sin,
He ascended to Heaven above – but against death he would win.
After three days he returned to show us all there is a way,
And from his rising we have learned that he is still alive today.
That Heaven waits for us all, on the last journey we must take,
And that when death comes to call, into his kingdom we will awake.

The Tomb is Empty!

The tomb is empty! Our Lord is here no more!
Who has taken him? Who rolled back the stone door?
Oh please tell me where my lord is? Where has he gone?
For it is to him that my heart and soul belong.
His words I will remember, his way I shall walk,
Oh how I wish with him, that I could now talk.

Two angels stood before her, where the tomb was bear,
Turning round she saw that Jesus was standing there.
Come back to walk amongst us, to help us understand,
When we die he will come and take us by the hand.
Into his father’s kingdom, up to heaven above,
To be there at his side, and surrounded by his love

The Ascension
(Luke 24:50-53)

Rising up after dying, Jesus conquered deaths call,
And for a while walked amongst us, reaching out to all.
Before rising up in glory, accepting His fate,
Going on before us, opening up heaven’s gate.
To us He brought salvation, to save us all from sin,
A path to enlightenment, a new life to begin.

His ascension took Him from us, up to heaven above,
But He left behind His spirit, as well as his love.
He left behind His wisdom, His light to guide our way,
And gave us rules to follow, to work for Him today.
He gave us the hope that in death, our souls will live on,
And through righteous living, in heaven we will belong.

Christ died on the Cross for us

Christ died on the cross for the sake of us all,
He then rose from the dead, defying deaths call.
His resurrection has shown us all the way,
That, we to, shall arise into a new day,
Into a place of peace filled with pure love,
As we ascend from earth to heaven above.
His hand will reach for us and guide us inside,
To a place where darkness can no longer hide.
Our salvation and His love we will receive,
When we have decided, in him, to believe.
